Most of GRIDAL Store products are made by hand using traditional methods. For this reason, there may be slight variations in size and color. Our handmade products are being produced in small workshops or in-house looms rather than large manufacturing plants. Every product you purchase supports small, mostly women-led businesses, and authentic production methods. With every order, local producers obtain more capital to maintain or improve their designs, skills and methods.

We mainly support traditional handcrafts including – but not limited to – looming, textile, jewelry design, ceramics, silverwork, leatherwork, soapwork, etc. to help these artists sustain their workshops and hand down their heritage to the next generations.

Besides the traditional designs, we try to keep our inventory appealing to everyone by adding contemporary patterns and methods when possible. You can see our reinterpretations of traditional methods with contemporary patterns on our inventory page.

Especially, each of our jewelry pieces are unique in terms of design and workmanship. Every piece brings together the imagination of the designer and hard work of the producer before eventually being brought to you. Although similar templates are being used, each of our clay products are slightly different in either form or pattern, resulting from the individual hand labor.
